By downloading or using BetterBuddy, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information, including analytics collected through PostHog.

What BetterBuddy does

BetterBuddy helps you build a habit of checking in with people you care about by locking apps you choose until you complete a check-in. Results vary from person to person. BetterBuddy does not guarantee specific outcomes, responses from contacts, or changes in screen time or relationships.

Your responsibilities

• You must use the app lawfully and responsibly.
• You are responsible for messages you choose to send through your own messaging apps.
• You must have permission to contact the people you message.
• Screen Time and notification permissions are required for core features to work as intended.

Subscriptions and billing

If you subscribe, your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Billing questions can go to Apple Support or to admin@betterbuddyapp.com.

Analytics and third-party services

BetterBuddy uses third-party services to operate, including Apple's Screen Time frameworks and PostHog for product analytics. By using the app, you acknowledge that limited, non-identifying usage data may be processed as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

BetterBuddy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
